Review: Ninja Terminator

Plot:
Hmmm....What exactly is the plot of Ninja Terminator? Let me see if I can take a stab at it. Two ninjas, Ninja Master Harry and Jaguar Wong, attempt to bring down the Ninja Empire- while also protecting the sacred Golden Ninja Warrior from the Ninja Empire. Despite being on the same mission, these two characters never share the screen with each-other; mostly likely because these two characters are from two completely different movies!

Overview
Is this a movie? Or is this a fan made mash-up of two completely different movies? It’s so hard to tell. Trying to make sense of this movie is difficult to say the least, because of how disjointed it is. Director Godfrey Ho is a “filmmaker,” known for taking seemingly unrelated films and stiching them together with bad dubbing and ninjas; resulting in some sort of "film." His movies might not make sense, but they're still a movie! Ninja Terminator is not only one of his most well-known movies, but it’s also his most entertaining.

The legendary Richard Harrison as Ninja Master Harry.

Best Part
OK, so any good parts about this movie are clearly ironic. Ninja Terminator is bad! Very bad. Even though this might be one of the worst movies ever made, it is also ridiculously entertaining. This is an absolute blast to watch! So Bad It's Good doesn't even begin to describe this movie. This is a movie that features ninja fights almost every five minutes, most of which are pretty poorly choreographed.
But then there's the dubbing, oh god, the dubbing. Just like with other Godfrey Ho movies, the dubbing is absolutely hilarious because of how bad it is.
However you can't talk about this movie without talking about the abundence of WTF moments. I mean, what other movie features a bored and aging Richard Harrison talking on a Garfield phone after being threatened by a Transformers toy? Well, chances are there’s at least three other Godfrey Ho movies with that exact scene, but still!

This guy's hair is one of the worst parts about this film.

Worst Part:
In case it wasn't obvious, everything about this movie is bad. The writing, the dubbing, the choreography, the acting, the directing, this is a movie just an absolute mess. However, the worst part about this movie is the editing.
Ninja Terminator is made up of two completely different movies copied and pasted together in order to create a flimsy narrative. Jaguar Wong and Ninja Master Harry are never seen on screen together, despite being in the same movie. Instead, they're seen talking on the phone with each-other. There's also an abundance of re-used scenes-most of which are used in later Godfrey Ho films.
So yeah, despite being enjoyably bad, Ninja Terminator is still pretty bad.

Conclusion:
Ninja Terminator is a poorly constructed, badly dubbed, mess of a movie! However, this movie is also one of the best examples of So Bad It's Good cinema; and an absolute blast to watch and make fun of.
The fact that this movie isn't recommended in the same breathe as The Room or Plan 9, is a travesty. If you're looking for a good martial arts movie like The Raid or Drunken Master, then this is not the movie for you. However, if you're looking for a movie to put on during a bad movie night, then look no further than Ninja Terminator!
When it comes to rating this movie, i'm going to try something a bit different. When it comes to rating this movie on entertainment value, I would say: 8/10. However, when it comes to actual quality, I would probably say 1/10.
